What is it like owning a navy seal watch?

As a proud owner of one here are my thoughts on it. There is nothing more exhilarating and exciting than wearing a stylish, rugged and functional watch on your wrist..and the navy seal is no exception. The sign of a fantastic watch is one that, every time that you look at it, there is a great feeling of satisfaction and fulfillment. A bit like every time you view a beautiful painting or brilliant sculpture..and the navy seal is a masterpiece that ticks all the boxes. It's a watch that you can wear for any occasion..and it will always look the part. It's a watch that you want to wear on your wrist all the time and never take off. It's one of those watches that, once owned, it will always be your favorite, any other subsequent watch owned afterwards, just won't match up to it. It's a watch that makes me feel like James Bond, you see I can conquer the world with it!

So just why is it so good?

Well, it's the ultimate watch for any type of sports enthusiast due to its durability and ruggedness. It will stand up to a lot of abuse. But what sets the Navy Seal watch apart from other watches?

There is not one reason, no, there are many reasons. This watch has been created with ultimate precision and durability in mind. It had to be as this watch was commissioned by the US armed forces. Only the best will do for them! Consequently, the manufacturing of a Navy-Seal watch is slightly more complicated than manufacturing an ordinary watch for an ordinary person.

It then developed a great reputation, so much so that the Luminox Navy Seal watch was then requested by the Air Force for an exclusive model for them. In fact it was specifically and exclusively for the F-117 Nighthawk Stealth pilots.

What has gone into this watch? Well fantastic innovative technology. Such as the self-powered micro gas lights which are in fact borosilicate glass capsules (tiny individual luminescent tracer lamps) that are to be found on the hands and the hour markers.

Apparently even the bezel sometimes light up on the watch. The reason for this specially designed feature is because the watch had to be useful throughout all the navy seal's missions, especially diving during night missions and this certainly sets this watch apart from others with this amazing self-sustaining illumination system. You can tell the time in the darkest of environments and the great thing is that the lights do not need any external light for charging, amazingly they stay charged for more than 25 years, and there are no buttons to be pushed either, certainly a very useful thing when the navy seal is occupied with other more important tasks! Not all of us however are Navy Seals, and this feature for the likes of us mere mortals can be fun sometimes and other times very useful.  

Only the highest quality materials are used on these watches such as the sapphire crystal cover which is scratch-resistant and anti-reflective. This watch is very useful for recreational scuba divers as the water resistance is up to 200 meters. The Swiss quartz movement, along with the carbon reinforced case, the carbon fiber bezel ring, and the black resin band are all evidence of the watches precision and durability.

Finally Navy-Seal watches are guaranteed to work for up to 4 years, with all the other elements guaranteed for 12 months. Given the fact that these watches are built to an extremely high standard along with the durability of most of the materials, you should expect flawless ownership for years after the warranty expires.
